After Tiree’s vet retired, the community stepped in to make sure we didn’t lose veterinary services. Animal Care Tiree is owned by islanders, for islanders. We are non-profit.
Our goal is to provide year-round coverage with intensive presence during calving and lambing season, regular blocks throughout the rest of the year, and telemedicine backup between visits.
Our Team
Tom Wallbank – Senior Veterinary Surgeon
Professional oversight, RCVS compliance, and clinical cover. Tom coordinates our locum rota and provides telemedicine support.
Hannah MacKechnie – Practice Manager
Your main point of contact. Hannah manages appointments, the pharmacy, and keeps everything running smoothly between vet visits.
Core Locum Vets
A group of experienced mixed practice veterinary surgeons (including Tom) rotate cover providing on-site clinical work.
